Nearline Archival and Data Management in Aerospace Applications

The diversity of aerospace organizations translates into equally diverse requirements for data storage, distribution, and archival. Manufacturing, research, and imaging applications generate large quantities of data that must be analyzed, distributed, and archived.

Interaction with data can be confined to a single department, can span an entire enterprise, or can encompass scores of external customers.

For department storage requirements, use a Sun or NT server with one or two cubeX jukeboxes (model 100 or 200). Each cube provides expandable capacity of 65 to 900 GB.

For enterprise-wide storage, use up to ten, network-attached cube700 jukeboxes. Each cube700 provides total near-line capacity of 3.15 TB (DVD-R) or 6.30 TB (DVD-RAM) and can be managed by a single server.

Integrated RAID storage provides quick access to cached data. However, in an environment with many gigabytes or even many terabytes of information, you can add cubeRAID modules to provide additional cache space.

Add cubeStudio to create discs for offsite storage or for distribution to internal and/or external customers.. cubeStudio records and labels CD and DVD discs in a single step.

eCube seamlessly adds data management capabilities to cubeDATA with indexing and search capabilities for all computer-generated and scanned documents and images.
